The Recognition of Excellence Awards are back for 2023! It’s time to enter or nominate a colleague.

We are back for 2023!

This year we are celebrating 10 years of the Recognition of Excellence Awards, that’s right, 10 years of championing pharmacy staff! For 2023 it is our aim to spread our reach far and wide to make sure every single deserving member of pharmacy staff across Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England are recognised, represented and celebrated at our awards ceremony in central London in June.

To do so, we need your help! Below you will find links to all our entry and nomination forms... They only take a few minutes to fill out and it’s so worthwhile giving pharmacy staff the recognition they deserve.

And don't forget, you could be a part of our RoE Roadshow, find out more here.

Let’s celebrate pharmacy together! #RoE23

Simply nominate your colleagues by filling out a quick online form, we’ll do the rest!

Our 2023 categories

Nominate a colleague

You can nominate a colleague for any of the categories below by simply heading to the nominate a colleague form via the link above and selecting a category. You just need to provide a few words as to why you think they should win, we will do the rest!

The forms below are entry forms if you'd like to enter yourself, or your team, for the categories below. They also will give you an idea of what we are looking for for each category.

Pharmacy Team of the Year

To recognise a pharmacy team who excel in working together and supporting customers and patients with impressive teamwork, good organisation, productive workflows, shared values, joint learning and innovative ideas that have propelled their pharmacy to new levels of achievement.

Outstanding Contribution Award

To recognise someone who has demonstrated true dedication to community pharmacy and supported their customers and patients. This might include raising awareness of their pharmacy and promoting its services within the local community or someone who has consistently provided outstanding service on a day-to-day basis and/or gone the extra mile to help a customer. A commitment to exemplary care is essential.

Team Leader Award

To reward a senior support team member who has stepped up and is managing all or part of the pharmacy and successfully leading a team.

Health Equality Award

This award is designed to recognise an individual who has identified and tackled health inequalities for their patients and communities. This could include race, socioeconomics, age, sexuality and gender. Whether it be helping to bridge the gap between racial and ethnic minority groups and the wider community, finding solutions for those from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds, or supporting members of the LGBTQI+ community.

Product Adviser Award

To reward a member of the pharmacy team who excels in OTC product knowledge and demonstrates a clear commitment to their own self-development, learning and keeping up to date. The person must have excellent consultation skills and be highly skilled at recognising symptoms, recommending the right products and referring appropriately.

Clinical Services Star

To reward someone who is supporting their community by spearheading new or popular specialist clinical services such as vaccinations, smoking cessation, weight management, sexual health, drug misuse and health screening.

Best Newcomer

To reward a promising individual who has started their pharmacy career in the last two years and is excelling in all aspects of their role, embracing training, grabbing opportunities and generally making an impact on their pharmacy and community.

NEW Sustainability Champion

To reward an individual who has taken steps to improve the sustainability of their pharmacy, whether that be through joining sustainable schemes and programmes, encouraging sustainability within the team and/or searching for sustainable products to stock and recommend to customers.

NEW Innovation Award

To reward someone who has taken steps to improve the pharmacy through innovative ideas, by introducing new technology or processes that make the running of the pharmacy more efficient and/or improve patients’ lives.

Each category winner is put forward for the Spotlight Award, which recognises our overall staff member of the year.
